The kinked vent behind our newly installed compact stacked W/D was hidden from view, and only discovered when the dryer caught on fire. By changing to side-venting the dryer and installing the Magvent, we can now clearly see that we have a better, safer installation. Plus we increased efficiency by eliminating yards of twisting turning vent pipe ~and~ we gained valuable storage space because we were able to push the stack in and over by several inches more than before.
